16 Men Who Proved True Love Isn’t About Big Words, but About Quiet Actions That Melt the Heart
I absolutely love to paint, but while on maternity leave, I couldn’t find any time for it. I recently shared this with my husband.
The very next day, he left for work an hour earlier and came home earlier. He took care of our little one, and I finally took out my favorite paints, brushes, and canvas. I enjoyed painting so much that I felt like the happiest person in the world for a whole day.
My husband promised to do this more often, and I am very grateful to him for that. I was chatting with a guy. In our conversation, I complained that it was chilly at home, probably because the radiators weren’t heating properly. It was winter and night, around 10–11 p.m.
He said, “I’ll come over now and take a look. You shouldn’t be freezing.” We had only met a couple of times before, and nothing more had happened! He came over, fixed it, and even cleared a clog in the kitchen, went back to his place a couple of times for tools, and stayed until 3 in the morning.
He’s now my husband. That’s when he won my heart. I envy my friend; she has such an amazing husband! He’s very understanding. Every month, he gifts her a “period bag.” On the first day of her period, he brings a tote (always new) packed with pads, tampons, her favorite sweets, painkillers, love note cards, and some other small items.
