Rain had started falling outside, though no one had noticed when it began.
The restaurant was no longer elegant—it felt trapped. Guests whispered, phones recording everything.
The woman stood frozen, staring at the boy like the world beneath her feet had disappeared.“Tell me where she is,” she repeated, voice breaking now.
The boy’s lips trembled.
“She said you would understand if you saw the watch.”
A long silence.
Then—her composure shattered.
She grabbed the edge of the table.
“That watch was buried with her…”
A wave of shock spread through the room.
The boy stepped back.
“My mom said she didn’t die alone.”
The woman’s eyes filled with tears she had clearly been holding back for years.
“You… you’re impossible…”
She turned toward the glass wall overlooking the sea.
And then she whispered:
“No one knows the truth except her… and me.”
The boy followed her gaze.
Outside, near the dark shoreline, a faint silhouette stood under the rain.
Watching.
Waiting.
The boy pressed his hand against the glass.
“Mom…?”
The woman gasped.
And rushed toward the door.
But as it swung open—
The figure was gone.
Only a single message was left in the wet sand:
“You were never supposed to find him.”
The boy dropped the watch.
The woman fell to her knees.
And for the first time—
The truth finally started to surface… but not all of it.
